Dry Eye, My Eyes Cry

You might think it strange to be diagnosed with “dry eye” when your eyes water all the time, but watery eyes can be a symptom of chronic dry eye. Other symptoms could include:

  • Stinging
  • Irritation
  • Burning
  • Redness
  • Blurry vision
  • Feeling like something is in your eye

And the list continues!

The great news is that today there are more solutions for treating dry eye than ever before. If you have been suffering from dry eyes, or any of the symptoms here, it’s time to give yourself some “eye love” and see your optometrist or ophthalmologist.  And if your eye doctor happens to prescribe xiidra, a recently FDA approved eye drop for the treatment for dry eye, you can visit www.xiidra.com and find out if you may be eligible to obtain your first prescription free.

There is no reason to suffer any more and any problems with your eyes should not be left to chance. Make a call now to New England Eye Center in Boston at 1-617-636-4600 or visit www.neec.com for a satellite office near you  and schedule an appointment with our Optometry Department and don’t forget to mention your dry eye symptoms.

If you are a previous LASIK patient suffering from dry eye, please call our refractive surgery department in Boston at 1-617-636-7800 or 1-617-636-3360 and we will see if we can fit you in with our dedicated refractive optometrist. You can also speak to Linda at 1-617-636-3360 and ask about our IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy for dry eyes with Dr. Wu and Dr. Kenyon. More information can also be found at www.mylasikdoc.com. Give yourself some eye love now!
