Description
Prior to undergoing the intacs procedure at our Boston practice, patient Linda Mahler believed that a corneal transplant was her only option for treating keratoconus and avoiding blindness. After undergoing the intacs procedure, however, Mahler’s vision is better than ever, allowing her to see and appreciate all of her surroundings.

LINDA MAHLER: I was under the understanding that I was going blind and there was no chance except for a corneal transplant. And when I found out that this was being offered, it seemed like the last hope, the only hope. And it’s wonderful. It’s amazing. I can see my alarm clock without my contacts in, I can look at my daughter and see how beautiful she is and count her freckles. Before I couldn’t do that with even my contacts in. So, it’s special. It’s very important.
