Helen K. Wu, M.D.

Helen Wu, M.D. is the lead ophthalmologist here at New England Eye Center as well as the director of Refractive surgery. After graduating from the Ohio State University College Of Medicine and Public Health in 1986, Dr. Wu completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Kellogg Eye Center, a part of Michigan University. She then traveled to Boston, Massachusetts to complete her fellowship in corneal and external ocular diseases, as well as Ocular Immunology and Uveitis at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Fluent in English, Chinese, Spanish, and German, Dr. Wu spends her free time with her family, friends, and yellow Labrador Retriever. An avid dancer, Dr. Wu practices ballroom dancing frequently.

Melina Morkin , M.D.

Melina Morkin , M.D.

Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Tufts University School of Medicine, Melanie Morkin, M.D. is a member of the Cataract, Cornea and Refractive Surgery team at the New England Eye Center. Completing her residency in ophthalmology at the New England Eye Center in Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Morkin moved on to complete her fellowship in cataracts, cornea, external ocular diseases and refractive surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Having a stellar background in education and ophthalmology practice, Dr. Morkin’s expertise reflects directly on our patients’ success. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Morkin enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and mountain biking.
