Christine McMahon - RefractiveSurgery Coordinator

Christine McMahon is the Refractive Surgery Coordinator at New England Eye LASIK and Advanced Cataract Center, located in Boston, Massachusetts. Christine holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond Virginia and an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Cape Cod Community College, Barnstable, MA. Christine joined the New England Eye Center team in December 2015. It is Christine's role to help guide vision correction patients from their initial inquiry through surgery, providing pre and post operative education and support. While her duties also include patient scheduling, assisting with financial matters and working one on one with both patients and physicians, Christine's focus is to create a seamless and world class appointment process for each patient who makes contact with Dr. Helen Wu's refractive  clinic. Linda Newman - Patient Coordinator

Linda NewmanLinda Newman is the Patient Coordinator and Front Office Receptionist for The New England Eye Lasik and Cataract Center, located in Boston, Massachusetts. Linda received her Bachelor of Science degree from Newbury College in 2000. Prior to working at New England Eye Center, Linda worked for both Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston supporting their surgery centers. Linda guides the patients at The New England Eye Lasik and Cataract Center seamlessly through the journey of learning about vision correction options to managing their appointments after their procedure. Linda fills a variety of roles in the practice, but her most important responsibilities lie in creating a picture perfect patient process from the first phone call, through appointments and often vision correction surgery. Linda’s additional duties include appointment scheduling, patient education, payment plans, administration and patient and doctor liaison. Linda works hard to meet every patient’s needs.

When Linda is not working at New England Eye Center, she enjoys spending time with her husband, extended family and of course her pets. Her hobbies include reading, photography and baking.


Amanda M. Bruce - Lead Refractive Technician

Amanda M. BruceAmanda Bruce is the Senior Refractive Surgery Technician at the New England Eye LASIK and Cataract Center, located in Boston, Massachusetts. Amanda has worked as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician at New England Eye Center since 1991. Having worked in vision correction for over 30 years, Amanda has had the opportunity to have assisted in over 20 thousand refractive procedures. New England Eye Center is honored to have Amanda’s expertise in refractive surgery available both in and outside of the laser room to all patients seeking vision correction alternatives. Patients are comforted when they learn that Amanda will be available during their Laser Refractive Procedure as well as participating in their pre and post operative care. Through the years Amanda has had the opportunity to work with some of the most experienced refractive surgeons in the world and was also the Study Coordinator for the FDA approval of excimer laser surgeries. Prior to working at New England Eye Center, Amanda was employed at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and has worked in ophthalmology for the past 30 years. When Amanda is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and extended family, working in her greenhouse, fishing, exercising and working within her community.


Marcus Bresilla - Refractive Technician

Marcus BresillaMarcus Bresilla began employment at New England Eye Center early on in 2014. During his time with the eye center, Marcus has excelled both clinically and professionally working with both general ophthalmology and refractive surgery patients. Marcus' past work experience in vision correction and general eye care has made him a well rounded technician which is clearly evident in the kind and professional way he manages the patient experience.

Marcus is involved in all aspects of patient evaluations, from the initial screenings and consultations, to specialized testing for a variety of vision correction procedures now offered at the Eye Center. Marcus's ability to put each patient at ease and his desire to continue to learn are attributes which make him a perfect fit for the LASIK and Cataract team. The Lasik and Cataract center is always changing, adding advanced vision correction procedures and technology to its menu every year. Marcus focuses on helping and qualifying patients in their vision correction journey. Jen Tourtellot - Refractive Technician & Photographer

Jen Tourtello

Jennifer Tourtellot is a graduate of the New England Institute of Art in Photography. Jennifer has worked at New England Eye Center since 2010. During her time with the eye center, Jen has excelled not only as a Certified Ophthalmic Photographer II, but has expanded her skills to include working in the refractive surgery department as a refractive surgery technician. 

Jen Tourtellot was recently named as one of the recipients of the 2013 Tufts MC  “True Blue” award !    This is a very special honor given to outstanding employees for their hard work, dedication to the organization, and commitment to improving the lives of patients and families.   Jen was nominated by a colleague we all agree that this recognition is well deserved. Not only does Jen take great care of her patients, but she is very supportive of her team members.  

Jen is involved in all aspects of patient evaluations, from the initial screenings and consultations, to special testing as well as assisting in the laser room during surgery. Jennifer’s attention to detail, ability to adjust to change and her desire to continue to learn are attributes which made her so well suited to joining the LASIK and Cataract team. The Lasik and Cataract center is always changing, adding advanced vision correction procedures and technology to its menu every year. Jen fits in perfectly! In her spare time, Jen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling, enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and being on the water.  Jen enjoys the arts and crafting, and of course photography!


Bianca Sacenti - Refractive Technician

Bianca SacentiBianca Sacenti has been working at New England Eye Center for over 3 years and during this time has transitioned from the general clinic to working as refractive technician in Dr. Wu's vision correction practice. During this time Bianca has been involved in patient testing, counseling and also assisting in surgery in the laser room. Bianca has experience working with the IntraLase Femto second laser and the Visx STAR excimer laser-both used in performing LASIK.

Bianca has the unique ability to switch gears and chip in where ever needed. She is highly organized and the refractive team relies on her steady organizational skills to keep the patient experience consistent and stress free. Bianca is involved in all aspects of patient evaluations, from the initial screenings and consultations, to specialized testing and assisting in laser surgery. Bianca's ability to put the staff and patients at ease are what make her a perfect match for the LASIK and Cataract team. The Lasik and Cataract center is always changing, adding advanced vision correction procedures and technology to its menu every year. Jean McGeary - Nurse

Jean McGeary

 Jean McGeary, RN  is a Clinical Nurse Leader at New England Eye Center. She is a Certified Registered Nurse in Ophthalmology and has been working with refractive surgery patients since 1987. Jean and the nursing team specialize in educating and medicating patients, but most importantly at  the assisting of putting our patients at ease.Our team of nurses and ophthalmic staff  work together to ensure quality care and comfort during your procedure.

When you leave Jean and the refractive team  will  ensure that you have a complete understanding of  “What to Expect” during the next 24 hours of  your recovery. Not all laser centers are staffed with a nurse available to patients on the day of their laser procedure, but at New England Eye Center this is just one more step we have built-in to create an exceptional patient experience.
