7 Summer Activities To Enjoy After LASIK

Young woman enjoying the outdoors after LASIKLASIK surgery may seem like a daunting prospect even if you want to have perfect vision without glasses or contacts. Any surgery can be scary, and the price of LASIK may make you think twice. But there are many reasons to consider LASIK, and the benefits tend to outway any negatives. If you have LASIK this summer, these are just a few things that you can look forward to enjoying thanks to the freedom of unassisted vision!

Going To The Pool

Swimming with glasses or contacts is a pain. Either you can’t see, you lose your glasses, or you get chlorine under your contacts. Sometimes it’s just easier to avoid the pool or at least getting into the water. But after LASIK, you never have to worry about those things again. Go ahead, enjoy swimming around as much as you want!

Going To The Beach

The beach is like the pool, but with another added nemesis— sand. It gets everywhere, including under your contacts and makes the surface of your glasses gritty. It’s also far easier to lose your glasses in the sand, or worse, the ocean. Finally, you’ll be able to enjoy a day at the beach without having to clutch your glasses or walk around blind. Just relax and enjoy.

Biking

Biking is always a fun activity in the summer, especially if you have kids to go on rides with. But if you want to set a good example, putting on a helmet over glasses can be a pain. Enjoy being able to bike and be safe while keeping an eye on your kids while the family gets some fresh air.

Hiking

Hiking is a great way to enjoy the warm weather and see the local sights. But when you hike, you sweat, and sweat isn’t good for anyone with glasses or contacts. Forget about all that after LASIK and just focus on getting to the end of the trail and enjoying the view with your brand new vision.

Traveling

Traveling can be stressful, but it’s usually worth it. But it’s extra hard when you have to worry about your glasses or remembering enough contacts. Not to mention what could happen if you lose a pair while you’re in a foreign country. Breathe easy now that the only thing you have to worry about is getting the most out of your vacation!

Visiting An Amusement Park

Enjoy roller coasters without having to worry about losing your glasses! A day at an amusement park or water park can be a whole lot of fun, but it certainly isn’t if you break your glasses or happen to lose a contact lens. After LASIK, just enjoy having fun and going on whatever rides you want.

Seeing Summer Blockbusters

Seeing movies with perfect vision is a whole new experience. You can also see 3D movies without having to finagle getting 3D glasses over your glasses. There are such great films that come out during the summer, and with LASIK, you can enjoy them to the fullest.
